As an Owner Operator with Jake Transportation Inc, you will be responsible for transporting freight on assigned routes while ensuring full compliance with all DOT and company safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport goods on assigned dedicated routes

  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

  • Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELDs) and delivery documentation

  • Ensure cargo is properly secured and meets safety regulations

  • Comply with all DOT regulations and company policies

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with dispatch and customers

  • Report any vehicle issues, delays, or incidents in a timely manner

Requirements

  • Valid CDL with a clean driving record

  • Minimum 2 years of commercial truck driving experience required

  • Valid DOT Medical Card

  • Must pass DOT drug screening and background check

  • Strong knowledge of road safety and DOT regulations

  • Willingness to travel and work a flexible schedule

  • Own a well-maintained and DOT-compliant tractor

  • Current ELD system in use (or willingness to comply)
